2026 MDS 3.0 and Beyond

This seminar guides the attendee into the critical areas that are impacted by the completed MDS:  The Medicare PDPM Reimbursement System; The new KY Medicaid Case Mix PDPM Reimbursement System; The Quality Measures (QM); and the Quality Reporting Program (QRP).  Each system will be explored, with work sheets and flow charts that will help to understand and positively impact the MDS and Beyond.

Janine Lehman, RN, RAC-CT, CLNC

Proactive LTC Consulting

Director of Legal Nurse Consulting for Proactive LTC Consulting and is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years’ experience in long term care, working in all nursing capacities from Nursing Assistant and Charge Nurse, to MDS Coordinator, Staff Development Coordinator, ADON and DON. She is MDS Certified through AANAC, and is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. Her background includes serving as a Corporate Nurse Consultant, and the Director of Clinical Services for a multi-facility, multi-level of care organization. Janine serves as a founding member of the Kentucky RUG Task Force Committee and has served on the Case Mix Appeals Panel and IDR Panel as a provider representative, as well as serving on the Kentucky Medicaid Technical Advisory Committee. She has extensive experience in the RAI process, clinical documentation, legal nurse consulting, restorative nursing programs, fall management, QAPI, and infection control, and has provided training on these topics for State and National organizations.

CONTINUING EDUCATION

The Kentucky Coalition for Aging Resources & Empowerment is an approved provider of continuing education by the Kentucky Board of Nursing, #5-0002. To receive the 6 contact hours, you must complete the entire program. Certificates may be printed once the program evaluation is submitted. CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation received in writing no later than seven (7) workdays prior to a seminar will receive a full refund. Cancellations received in writing inside of seven (7) workdays will receive one-half refund. Any participants who don't attend a program will receive no refund unless prior notice in writing is given to the Coalition office as outlined in this policy. Participants may appeal refund determinations by requesting reconsideration by the Executive Committee. Such appeals must be made in writing within 30 days after the seminar or convention is held.
