KCARE Social Services Virtual August 2026

August 4, 2026 - August 31, 2026. Participants will receive training and insight to working in the Social Services department of a long term care facility.  This course will discuss the philosophy of long term care, the settings in which the Social Services employee works and the demographics of the people they serve. Students will learn the aging process and understand the role and function of this position.

 

The attendee can complete the course in four weeks as the courses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They consist of four units which covers person-centered care, the aging process, cognitive issues, and psychosocial needs.

TERMS OF AGREEMENT

I have basic knowledge in computer usage.  I understand, if I have computer difficulties, the help section in the Blackboard is available. If I need help with the content of the course, my instructor will be available via email or phone number that has been supplied in the syllabus. I agree to be responsible for my own work and understand that there will be weekly assignments due.
  

CANCELLATION POLICY

 Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed to [email protected]. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted. Cancellations received no later than seven days prior to the start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations received between the seven days of the start date refund of 1/2. Registrants who do not attend or who do not complete the full seminar will not receive a refund unless prior written notice is given to the Coalition office.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellation received in writing no later than seven (7) workdays prior to a seminar will receive a full refund. Cancellations received in writing inside of seven (7) workdays will receive one-half refund. Any participants who don't attend a program will receive no refund unless prior notice in writing is given to the association office as outlined in this policy. Participants may appeal refund determinations by requesting reconsideration by the Executive Committee. Such appeals must be made in writing within 30 days after the seminar or convention is held.
